MPI Equipment – Demagnetisation Units

Demagnetising ferromagnetic parts and materials is essential to final finishing, and to prepare an item for its ultimate use. Our demagnetisation units are fast and efficient at removing residual magnetism from all types and sizes of component after magnetic particle inspection.

Use our demag units for:

  • Demagnetising parts that have undergone magnetic particle inspection.
  • Removing residual magnetism in parts intended for use near magnetic instrumentation.
  • Demagnetising parts with bearing or journal surfaces.
  • Demagnetising parts after contact with magnetic chucks or lifting magnets.

ETT Series

ETT tabletop demagnetisation tunnel

The compact demagnetisation tunnels of the ETT series are designed for table-top use.

  •  Spool current activated by an ON/OFF switch.
  • Saturation depth of the 50 Hz alternating field: approx. 2mm.
  • Available in standard and reinforced models

For part numbers and more information, see the Product Data Sheet.

ETW Series

ETW demagnetisation unit with trolley

Our ETW demagnetisation units with trolley are ideal for demagnetising large, heavy parts which cannot be easily passed through a spool. You place the part onto the trolley and manually push it through the tunnel, where the demagnetisation spools generate a strong magnetic field.

  • Loading aides, distancers and safety grids available on request.
  • Available in standard and reinforced models

For part numbers and more information, see the Product Data Sheet.

ETB Series

ETB demagnetisation unit with conveyor

Our ETB demagnetisation units are primarily used with automated systems. You can place the test part onto the conveyor manually or with the aid of manipulators, e.g. an ejector,

  •  Optional lateral guides allow for exact alignment along the entire length of the conveyor.
  • Available in standard and reinforced models

For part numbers and more information, see the Product Data Sheet.

SB Series

SB demagnetising unit

The speed, efficiency and power of our SB units make them ideal for demagnetising after MPI testing. They are designed to fit almost any production or inspection set-up and to withstand hard industrial service, but they are also versatile enough for efficient production applications in tool and machine shops.

  • Broad application – can handle large and small parts
  • Intermittent duty cycle
  • Automatic timing switches

For part numbers and more information, see the Product Data Sheet.

S-66 and S-1212

S-66 and S-1212 are compact table-top units designed to fit easily into your existing test/production system. The base of the coil opening can be mounted flush with the work surface, making it quick and easy to insert the test parts.

Both units provide a continuous reversing magnetic field controlled by a conventional on-off switch, ideal for fast, effective, volume demagnetisation of small components on production lines.

  • Built for continuous duty
  • Continuous reversing magnetic field
  • Waterproof and oil-proof (except switch)
  • Table-top installation

Part numbers:

  • 007E067 – S-66 (155 x 155 mm opening)
  • 007E106 – S-1212 (310 x 310 mm opening)

For more information, see the Product Data Sheet.
